Inclement Weather Policy TPCDC is closed when the Federal Government is closed. When the Federal Government announces a one hour delayed-arrival or "liberal leave", TPCDC will open at 8:00 A.M. when the delayed-arrival or "liberal leave" is two hours, TPCDC will open at 9:00 A.M. If during the workday, the Federal Government closes early or announces "liberal leave", TPCDC will close two hours early, at 4:00 P.M. However, at the Director's discretion, the Center may close earlier than 4:00 P.M. Parents should listen to the radio for announcements about the Federal Government early closing and liberal leave and should call the Center for exact closing information. Staff will attempt to notify each parent. You can call the Center's answering machine (301) 270-6824 for information about delayed openings, early dismissals and Center closings. In the event of a closing, TPCDC will contact parents by phone and/or e-mail.
